Three-piece jade massage set with body brush, gua sha comb and mushroom massager from Irka & Co

How to Use Your Jade Body & Face Massage Ritual Set

Three jade pieces: one for the body, one for the face and scalp, one for the small places. Which to pick up first, and how to work each one.

Three-piece jade massage set with body brush, gua sha comb and mushroom massager from Irka & Co

Three pieces of jade: one for the body, one for the face and scalp, one for the places the others are too big for.

What’s in the set

  • Jade body massage brush — a round wooden base set with thirty smooth jade nodes, and a hand strap so you never have to grip.
  • Jade gua sha comb brush — a jade edge on one side, soft vegan bristles on the other.
  • Jade mushroom massager — palm-sized, for the small areas.

Between them they cover the neck, shoulders, arms, legs, glutes and abdomen, the cheekbones, jawline and neck, the hairline and scalp, and the under-eyes, temples and brow.

Before you begin
  • Decide dry or wet. The body brush works both ways — dry on bare skin, or in the shower with your favorite oil or body cream.
  • The gua sha side needs oil on the face. Without it, the edge drags.
  • Move slowly. Always toward the heart.

The body, with the jade brush

  1. Slip your hand under the strap rather than gripping the base.
  2. Start at the legs and move in slow circles, working upward from the ankles.
  3. Then the glutes and abdomen, then the arms from the wrists up.
  4. Finish at the neck and shoulders, working down toward the collarbone.

The face and scalp, with the gua sha comb

  1. Press a few drops of oil into clean skin.
  2. Glide the jade edge along the cheekbones, then the jawline, then the neck — always from the center outward.
  3. Turn the comb over and sweep the vegan bristles through the hairline and across the scalp.

The small places, with the mushroom

Under the eyes, the temples, the brow. Light pressure — this is the most delicate skin on your face, and the mushroom is shaped for exactly that.

Direction of movement

Slow, and always toward the heart. On the face, from the center outward. Never back and forth.

Cleaning and storage
  • The jade pieces can be rinsed under cool water, or simply wiped with a soft, dry cloth.
  • After using oil, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap — then dry right away.
  • The body brush has a wooden base. After use in the shower, towel-dry it and wipe the wood dry. Never leave it standing in water.
  • Store everything in the cotton pouch that came in the box, somewhere dry.
Care notes
  • Jade is stone. A hard drop can chip it — work seated, over something soft if you can.
  • Keep the pressure light around the eyes and temples.
  • Skip any area where the skin is broken, irritated or sunburned.
  • The bristles are vegan — no animal hair.
  • This is a self-care ritual, not a treatment. If you have a skin condition or any concern, a dermatologist is the right person to ask.
